ESG

We constantly develop our products in response to the needs of the industry using highly specialized technological equipment.

When you choose to cooperate with us, you get a business partner who assists you in complying with current regulations for the manufacturing and use of plastic – with a particular focus on sustainability and circular use. Sustainability is about passing the Earth on to the next generation in a good or even better condition than we received it.

Responsibility is the core of our values, and we are therefore highly focused on promoting a better environment, reducing CO2e emissions, reducing our consumption and maximizing resource recycling.

Our responsibility also includes to how we treat each other and how we put together the team within our company. We acknowledge diversity and equality with respect for differences and capabilities.

Our value chain consists of responsible partners who contribute to the green transition and support sustainability, which is a crucial factor in our future cooperation. We seek partners with whom we can develop and improve ourselves continuously towards a more sustainable direction.

While our circular focus inevitably increases some of our expenses, it will also strengthen the company’s finances in long term. This is due to the opportunities it provides to analyze and reorganize, and thereby identifying potential savings that can be implemented, particularly in our production processes.

ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and sustainability go hand in hand. ESG is a way to operationalize and measure sustainability. That is why we are now also working on ESG reporting and will soon publish our first ESG report.

Our Sustainability strategy is derived from the Sustainable Development Goals, providing us with direction for our focus areas

WE AIM TO…

• reduce our climate footprint (CO2e emissions)
• recycle resources
• reduce our waste and pollution
• support decent and meaningful jobs
• be an inclusive workplace
• promote diversity and equality
• seek partnerships and share knowledge on sustainability
WE ARE… proactive and are therefore an attractive partner

We have chosen to focus sharply on the Sustainable Development Goals and focus areas that currently make sense and add value to us as a company. We have allocated resources to ESG and sustainability efforts. We believe that our focus makes us a more attractive company for our customers and for global society.

Environment and Climate

We have chosen to make the Sustainable Develop Goals no. 7 and 12 our focus areas:
We aim to continuously reduce our energy consumption in the future. We are very attentive to what we use energy for and plan our production and transportation optimally. Purchases of energy-efficient production facilities and inventory are ongoing installed, and will significantly reduce consumption in the future.

Additionally, we supplement our reduction through energy trading with renewable energy and expect to increase the compensation in line with our expansion. However, we insist on addressing the root causes of our climate footprint within our internal value chain.

Our focus is on reducing both waste and pollution related to our production. Our plastic waste from manufacturing components is sorted separately, ground and recycled in our company. Packaging waste etc. are sorted in an environmentally friendly manner and thereby reducing incineration and CO2e emission into the atmosphere. Used plastic and cardboard are sent for recycling.

We emphasize the recycling of plastic in our production. We apply up to 50% recycled plastic in our total consumption. Some of our products are made from 100% recycled plastic, and we aim to increase that proportion. Also, our aluminum consumption is from recycled raw materials where possible, and we basically use circular packaging. Circular consumption will be a major focus for us in the future and will be a natural focal point in the collaboration with our customers in the development of new products.

Social responsibility

We have chosen to make the Sustainable Develop Goals no. 3 and 8 our focus areas:

It is very important to us that our employees thrive with us and are happy to be working every day. We listen, acknowledge and ask them every day how their day has been. We have developed a “well-being house” of Lego blocks in different colors, where all employees build on and illustrate with the blocks how their experience of the day has been. It gives us a really good sense of well-being in everyday life – and it’s also fun.

Our well-being level is measured by, among other things, sickness absence, working environment and employee turnover, and then we naturally talk about things and find common solutions here and now, and don’t just wait until the performance review.

We would like to be an inclusive workplace with space and room for differences, and we believe that a diverse diversity in the team provides the optimal starting point. It is the foundation for knowledge sharing and the essence of a broad experience and understanding. We want our employees to develop constantly.

For several years, we have included employees in e.g. flexible jobs, apprenticeships, internships and we help people on the edge of the labor market. Our team includes employees of different ages, genders and nationalities. We give equal pay for equal work and prioritize achieving equal gender distribution.

It is important for our selection of business partners that they also recognize social responsibility and otherwise respect human rights worldwide. Our economic growth goes hand in hand with our social responsibility.

Corporate Governance

We have chosen to make the Sustainable Develop Goals no. 5 and 17 our focus areas:

In our management, we have made the decision to make sustainability efforts a natural part of the company’s future tasks. Therefore, we have made it an important point on the agenda of responsibility towards society and ourselves. We aim to stay ahead of authority’s requirements, practice and improve every day. We believe that doing so, we will become a much more attractive company for for business partners and employees.

Internally within our board, executive management and leadership team, we will strive for both diversity, equality and equal gender distribution.

Our value chain collaboration is extremely important. We want to be able to meet our customers’ requests and demands regarding sustainability in the future. Conversely, we will also demand a little more from our suppliers in the future. Documentation is important in our ESG work and especially for our calculations of CO2e footprint at product level (PCF) and the entire product lifecycle analysis (LCA), which we would like to map in the future.

Going forward, we are considering several interesting partnerships for important knowledge sharing, commitment to the green transition, and for the collective societal responsibility towards the environment and climate. The first step towards sharing our efforts is publishing our first ESG report.

Plastic is sustainable if recycled correctly and kept in circulation without the use of new crude oil. As a plastic producer, we bear a special responsibility to commit to circular usage.

We aim to create economically responsible growth, while simultaneously respecting the environment and climate.
