Waste Management at HP Industrial: A Commitment to Environmental Responsibility

At HP Industrial, we naturally sort our business waste according to environmental regulations. We have recently changed our partner in the waste management sector and are now collaborating with Marius Pedersen Renovation.

As a plastic manufacturer, we take responsibility for recycling as many resources as possible, and we naturally also send our own plastic waste for recycling. Our own plastic waste in production is separately sent for grinding and directly reused in our manufacturing again.

With increasing environmental awareness and stricter regulations, proper waste sorting has become a crucial factor for us. In Denmark, waste management is regulated by the Environmental Protection Act and the Waste Order, which impose strict requirements for sorting business waste. These rules are in line with the EU Waste Framework Directive, which aims to reduce waste amounts and promote recycling.

We must categorize our waste into different types as a company. Each waste type must be sorted and stored in separate containers with proper labeling to ensure it is handled correctly and environmentally responsibly.

We sort as follows:

  • Soft plastic
  • Big-bags (nylon)
  • Cardboard/paper
  • Disposable wooden pallets
  • Small combustible waste
  • Oily waste
  • Spray cans
  • Batteries
  • Electronic scrap
  • Food waste
  • Food/drink cartons/iron

To ensure compliance, it is important to implement clear procedures and guidelines for waste sorting. We have therefore also introduced and thoroughly involved our employees.

Proper waste sorting brings both environmental and economic benefits. By reducing CO2 emissions and minimizing the environmental impact of waste, we contribute to a sustainable future as a company. Economically, proper sorting can lead to savings through reduced waste fees and opportunities for recycling materials.
